Islamabad, November 22nd, 2018 – Students from The Educators schools perform better at Math, English, and Science competitions than students from Roots International, the Learn Smart Pakistan (LSP) team has revealed as a part of its new annual Learn Smart Pakistan 2017/18 report.

With more than 50,000 students from 370 cities and more than 6,630 schools using LSP, this platform (learnsmartpakistan.org) is set to propel the education sector of Pakistan forward. Students enrolled in public and private schools from, Azad Kashmir all the way down to Sindh, participate in these monthly challenges.

Learn Smart Pakistan is the country’s most innovative and free-to-use online platform, aimed at addressing the issue of lack of quality education in Pakistan. It provides students in grades 6-12 with quality digital educational resources that are closely aligned with the national curriculum. The purpose of this digital content is to improve students’ conceptual knowledge and enhance their critical thinking skills through interactive games, engaging videos, and assessments.

“The platform has grown by more than 100% new users in less than 4 months since its relaunch. Our retention rates have drastically improved as a result of gamifying the platform in July, which has been LSP’s biggest revamp to date”, Knowledge Platform’s Country Head, Talhah Munir Khan, stated.

“Gamification of learning” is an educational approach to engage users through a “gamified” learning experience by using virtual incentives and competitions. In addition to gamified learning, the platform makes use of animated videos, interactive activities, practice assessments, and subject-specific games. The whole experience has helped to improve students’ learning outcomes. The revamped version of Learn Smart Pakistan offers ‘Honey Coins’ to students, which are similar to credit card reward points but are earned upon completing a learning activity. These reward points can be redeemed for prizes as well as for local and international collegiate scholarships in the near future.

Mr. Zaigham Hidayatullah, Director Marketing at Knowledge Platform, spoke extensively about the new and improved features of Learn Smart Pakistan. “This platform is a great alternative to conventional tuition centers who charge exorbitant fees and keep young learners occupied for almost as many hours as they spend in school. As the platform is free-to-use and is proven to improve board exam results, parents should be encouraged to enroll their children onto our platform where they are also able to monitor their child’s academic performance on a day to day basis.” Mr. Hidayatullah stated.

The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session.
