June 29, 2020: Knowledge Platform (Private) Limited, Pakistan’s leading education technology company, has once again joined hands with the National Financial Literacy Program for Youth (NFLP-Y), a project of the State Bank of Pakistan. Knowledge Platform will act as digital marketing partner of NFLP-Y for PomPak – Learn to Earn – the country’s leading financial literacy game launched by the State Bank of Pakistan.

Already downloaded by more than 70,000 users in just a few weeks, PomPak – Learn to Earn is a free, engaging, and interactive game designed to enhance financial literacy skills among Pakistan’s youth and school-going children. PomPak adopts a story-based narrative by following the journey of two families setting up a small entrepreneurial venture. This story-based narrative keeps the users engaged while effectively inculcating financial skills such as budgeting, saving, banking, and borrowing.

PomPak is released in both English and Urdu keeping in mind Pakistan’s diverse audience. It is available for three age-groups: children (9-12); adolescents (13-17); and youth (18-29). Anyone who completes the course is awarded a prestigious certificate of financial literacy from a project of the State Bank of Pakistan. It can be played on the desktop or can be downloaded from Google Play and the App Store.

Under its digital partnership, Knowledge Platform has volunteered to promote PomPak – Learn to Earn – to its large network of educational institutes and partners. Knowledge Platform is Pakistan’s leading ed-tech company working with more than 750 schools and 270,000 students. Knowledge Platform’s diverse K12 product portfolio includes solutions for students, teachers, principals and schools, all focusing on quality education and training.

Two years ago, following PPRA best practices, Knowledge Platform was awarded the contract to consult for the National Financial Literacy Program for Youth (NFLP-Y). Since then, Knowledge Platform has helped NFLP-Y in the design and development of its entire financial literacy curriculum, which includes three workbooks, a teacher training program and PomPak – Learn to Earn. The game has attracted 70,000 Pakistani youth in just a few weeks to become Pakistan’s top educational game of all time. This is on the back of over 300,000 face-to-face trainings for three age groups using the financial literacy workbooks prior to the COVID pandemic.
